RMA Information

Limited Warranty Statement

1) AmblerTech will only grant full refunds on defective merchandise for a period of up to 90 days from the original date of purchase.

2) Customer must have proof of purchase for items being returned/exchanged.

3) A Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA number) must be obtained through our customer service department and prominently displayed on the outside of box, if being shipped. RMA numbers are valid for up to 14 days from the date of issuance. Merchandise recieved with missing, invalid or expired RMA numbers, will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense.

4) A 15% restocking fee will be assessed for all non-defective return items. An additional fee may be assessed for incomplete or cosmetically damaged return merchandise.

5) Merchandise must be returned in salable condition with all original packaging, and all accompanying accessories, such as documentation, cables, disks, etc.   Incomplete exchange items will be exchanged for equally incomplete items

6) Warranties do not apply to items with physical damage resulting from the following causes:

Improper or inadequate maintenance by the end-user.
Unauthorized modification or misuse.
Operation outside the environmental specifications for the product.
Maintenance by other than our RMA center.
We reserve the right to refuse the issuance of refunds or exchanges on any or all physically damaged merchandise. NOTE: Fouled mechanisms or corrosion do to tobacco tar, dust, or any other improper environmental conditions is considered physical damage and thus not covered under warranty.

7) If an exchange item is no longer being manufactured, or is no longer in stock, that item will be shipped to the original manufacturer for repair or replacement then returned to the customer.

8) Merchandise must be RECIEVED by AmblerTech within the warranty period. An RMA number from whithin warranty period alone is not sufficient by itself.

9) AmblerTech is NOT, under any circumstance, liable for any freight charges, or damages incurred during shipping for items being shipped to AmblerTech by customer.  AmblerTech will insure and pay UPS Ground shipping charges for all valid return/exchange items being shipped back to customer.  If customer requests express delivery, the customer must pay the difference via prepayment.

10) AmblerTEch is in no way liable for lost or damaged data that may result from hardware failure, virus, or any other cause.

11) Though AmblerTech products are fully industry standard, and likewise fully compatable with current TiVo software, AmblerTech is not responsible for resolution of conflicts or other configuration problems with hardware or software purchased from other sources, or future versions of TiVo software.

12) We highly recommend the use of a spike bar with a clamp time of 1 nanosecond or better and jacks for phone line protection for your TiVo's modem.  AmblerTech reserves the right to deny refund or exchange of any item that we have determined, by physical evidence or expert opinion, to have been damaged by an elecrical spike.

13) Please check your merchandise upon receipt. If your shipped order has arrived incomplete or damaged, you must contact us at Support@AmblerTech.com within 48 hours of receipt for a claim to be filled with the shipper.  Please retain original packaging material as evidence of damage or tampering in order to facilitate your claim.

NOTE: Be sure to properly insure and double box your merchandise if being shipped as we are not liable for damage incurred during shipping.
